These terms govern your use of Kuliso. We've written them to be readable — not wall-of-text legal boilerplate. Please read them before using the service.
These Terms of Service apply to all users of Kuliso, including:
By using Kuliso, you agree to these terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a school or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
These terms were last updated in March 2026. Continued use of Kuliso after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice.
Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Use a strong, unique password. Do not share your password.
Accurate information: You agree to provide accurate and current information when creating your account. Impersonating another person, school, or organization is prohibited.
Responsibility for students: Teachers and parents who enroll students take responsibility for ensuring students use the service appropriately and within these terms. You are the primary point of contact for any issues related to student accounts you manage.
School administrators: When a school purchases Kuliso for staff or students, the school administrator is responsible for distributing access appropriately and for ensuring staff comply with these terms.
Kuliso is designed for PreK–12 students (approximately ages 5–14). The platform is accessible only through an adult-managed account:
Students under 13: Kuliso collects minimal data from students under 13 and complies with COPPA. See Section 5 below and our Privacy Policy for details.
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from children under 13. Kuliso complies with COPPA as follows:
School route (operator consent): When students access Kuliso through a school, the school acts as the "operator" under COPPA and may provide consent on behalf of parents, consistent with their institutional authority and parental notification procedures. Schools using Kuliso represent that they have appropriate policies in place.
Parent/family route: When a parent creates a Family Plan and enrolls their child, the parent's account creation constitutes verifiable parental consent for their child's data collection under COPPA.
What we collect from children under 13: First name (or alias), grade level, session transcripts, progress data, jurisdiction/location preference (for curriculum standard alignment), and home language preference (for bilingual content, if enabled). We do not collect addresses, phone numbers, photos, or any data not necessary for tutoring. IP addresses are used transiently to auto-detect jurisdiction and are not stored.
What we do NOT do: We do not show behavioral advertising to anyone, collect more data than needed, or make participation conditional on unnecessary disclosures.
Parents may request review, correction, or deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting support@kuliso.org.
Teacher Plan: $14.99/month, billed monthly, cancel anytime. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the full details on how billing works, how to cancel, and when refunds are available.
Family Plan: $9.99/month per family, billed monthly. Same cancellation terms as the Teacher Plan.
School & District Plans: Annual pricing, negotiated per school. Terms are outlined in the school's purchase agreement. Contact support@kuliso.org for pricing and contract terms.
Pilot Plans: Kuliso offers low-cost pilot plans for teachers, families, schools, and districts. Pilot plans are paid from day one and are refundable if cancelled during the pilot period. Pilot features and limits are subject to change with notice.
Price changes: We'll give at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of new pricing.
Refunds: See the Refund Policy. We're flexible — contact us if you have a billing concern.
Kuliso's content: All platform content, design, code, and AI-generated educational materials produced by Kuliso are owned by Polsia Inc. and protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce or distribute Kuliso content for commercial purposes.
Your content: You retain ownership of any original content you upload or input into Kuliso (e.g., custom lesson materials). By using Kuliso, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use that content to provide the service to you.
Student session transcripts: Session transcripts belong to the student's school or parent. We do not claim ownership of student-generated content. Schools and parents may export session data at any time by contacting support.
Feedback: If you send us suggestions or feedback about Kuliso, we may incorporate them into the product without obligation to you. Thank you for helping us improve.
Kuliso uses AI to generate tutoring responses. AI is powerful but imperfect. Please keep the following in mind:
Kuliso is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it running and accurate, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime or error-free AI responses.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Polsia Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Kuliso, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or educational outcomes.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or your use of Kuliso shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. If you're in such a jurisdiction, these limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by your local law.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll notify active account holders by email at least 30 days before the new terms take effect.
For minor changes (corrections, clarifications, legally required updates), we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date. Continued use of Kuliso after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
If you disagree with changes to the terms, you can cancel your account before the effective date with no penalty.

Data Processing Agreement (DPA) Required
Before a school or district deploys Kuliso for student use, a signed Data Processing Agreement must be in place between the institution and Polsia Inc. (Kuliso). The DPA establishes Kuliso as a "school official" under FERPA (34 CFR § 99.31(a)(1)), sets out data handling obligations for both parties, and is required for FERPA-compliant sharing of student education records. View and request the DPA at kuliso.org/dpa.
