Reading comprehension means truly understanding what you read — not just decoding the words, but knowing what they mean and why they matter.
Three levels of understanding:
• Right There: The answer is directly stated in the text (literal)
• Think & Search: Combine ideas from different parts of the text
• Author & Me: Use the text plus your own knowledge and experience
Before-During-After strategy:
• Before reading: Preview the title, headings, and images — what do you predict?
• During reading: Stop after each paragraph. Ask: "What just happened?"
• After reading: Summarize in 1–2 sentences. What was this mainly about?
Finding the main idea:
The main idea is the most important point the author wants you to understand. Details support it but are not the main idea. Ask: "If I had to tell a friend what this was about in one sentence, what would I say?"
Using text evidence:
When answering questions, always quote the text! Begin with:
"According to the text..." or "In paragraph 2, it states..."
Strong readers ask questions while reading and look for answers in the text.

**找到主要内容：**
主要内容是作者最想让你明白的重点。细节是用来支撑主要内容的，但细节本身不是主要内容。问问自己："如果我要用一句话告诉朋友这篇文章讲了什么，我会怎么说？"
**使用文章中的证据：**
回答问题时，一定要引用文章里的原文！可以这样开头：
"根据文章……"或者"在第2段中，文章写道……"
优秀的读者会在阅读时提出问题，并在文章中寻找答案。
